If you are looking for an almost extra-terrestrial adventure, the Danakil Depression is the place to visit. Danakil Depression is a geological depression, includes Afar Triple Junction, part of the Great Rift Valley, where it overlaps Eritrea, the Afar Region of Ethiopia, and Djibouti.

It is one of the remotest, lowest and hottest places of the world in the Great Rift Valley system. It is part of the earth which is unstable and pulling each other to opposite side and is home for Afar people who are known for their ability to resist the extremes and live as they have done for hundreds of years.

Adventure and surely one you will never forget. Erta Alle, absolutely unique Lava Lake erupting 24 hours and Dallol, the lowest part of Danakil Depression (116m below sea level) extremely hot are highlight of the trip. The place is also famous for its fascinating fumaroles amazing rock formations, crystal and mineral deposits. It is interesting to visit Lake Asake, salt mining lake. The Danakil desert’s main industry is salt mining that is still cut by hand and loaded onto camels and taken to the highlands. The salt is still in considerable demand and fetches a good price. You may see endless Camel Caravans along the way.
